John Boone, PhD
Professor John Boone serves as D3D's senior physicist co-authored multiple D3D publications on 3D cursors and Augmented Radiology imaging of breast cancer imaged on a breast CT. Professor Boon is the Vice Chair (Research) of Radiology, Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Davis. He also serves as the President of the American Society of Physicists in Medicine, a professional organization who represents 8,000 Medical Physicists. The Boone lab is internationally recognized for designing, fabricating, and tested four prototype breast CT scanners, and was the first group in the world to perform cone beam breast CT on live women.
